New Dragon Ball FighterZ Gameplay Trailer Showcases Hit, Beerus And Goku Black

Dragon Ball

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Dragon Ball FighterZ could be one of most anticipated games for all of 2018, and it’s only coming out in January. The news that dropped over the weekend only served to reinforce that.

It was announced over the weekend that Hit and Goku Black, along with the God of Destruction Beerus, would be joining the burgeoning roster. Whilst Beerus made his debut in the feature film Battle of Gods, Hit and Goku Black both feature in the recent anime reboot Dragon Ball Super. Along with both the Super Saiyan Blue forms of Goku and Vegeta, who will be pre-order DLC for the game, and the Gold form of Freiza, Dragon Ball FighterZ hasn’t been afraid of plucking new characters and giving them a chance to shine.

The gameplay trailer that dropped with the announcement has also come out today in English, and appears to show significant story content. The first half of the trailer lays out the Dragon Ball storyline as we know it, from Goku vs Freiza to the Majin Buu saga. The second half then gives us our first look at the new characters, with each one making a convincing case to become your new favourite character. The official description for the trailer reveals more about how they’ll operate in a fight:

Specializing in attacks without any blind spots, Beerus will demonstrate his power with his super move: God of Destruction’s Judgement. By accumulating time, Hit is able to release the “Death Blow” which will surely disrupt the fight! Goku Black is really good at raiding from long distance, especially with the help of Zamasu on some attacks!

Are you excited for the new characters? We’re stilling holding out hope for Broly and Hercule to make an appearance, but check out the trailer and let us know who you’re looking forward to in the comments below.
