New Detective Pikachu Game Coming To Nintendo Switch

Ryan Reynolds voiceover unconfirmed right now.

Detective Pikachu

If you’ve been left wanting more following the release of the Detective Pikachu movie, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have got your back. During last night’s special Pokémon press conference, it was announced that Creatures Inc. have plans to develop a new Detective Pikachu title for the Nintendo Switch.

The new title will follow on from the original 3DS title, which ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and was described in the press release we received as “a conclusion to that story”. The 3DS title saw Tim Goodman join forces with Pikachu to search for Tim’s missing dad and Pikachu’s partner Harry Goodman. Seems like that search isn’t over just yet.

Of course, Detective Pikachu wasn’t the only Pokémon game announced during last night’s press conference. A new mobile game, Pokémon Masters, was announced for iOS and Android devices. Masters will bring back fan favourite trainers and their signature to take part in 3v3 battles. More details about Masters are set to be revealed in June. Are you excited about these new Pokémon games? Sound off in the comments.
