Need For Speed: Payback & Vampyr Are October’s PS Plus Games

Call the double pack Need For Blood, I guess.

Vampyr

Sony have announced the PS Plus line-up for October 2020, and they’re two games that couldn’t be further opposed if they tried. Those games are Need For Speed: Payback and Vampyr, and they’ll be available to claim from October 6th.

So What Are These Games?

Need For Speed: Payback is the iconic racing games series trying to emulate the more recent Fast and Furious movies, attempting to blend street racing with daring heists. Results are mixed, honestly. There’s three playable characters, plenty of customisable cars and the open world of Fortune Valley to explore. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not the best either.

As for Vampyr, it’s an RPG developed by Dontnod Entertainment that sees you playing as a recently turned neck-biter trying to survive in 1918 London beset by disease. Players can use their abilities to combat and conversations, and make choices to resist the urge to feed or run rampant through the streets.

What About September’s PS Plus Games?

With these new games going live on October 6th, that means you have until October 5th to claim PUBG and Street Fighter V as PS Plus games. Once claimed, these games will be available to you so long as you retain your PS Plus subscription.
