Mortal Shell’s First Gameplay Trailer Revealed, Closed Beta Next Month

Launching later this year.

Mortal Shell

During IGN’s Summer of Gaming event, which kicked off last night, the first gameplay trailer was revealed for the upcoming Souls-like RPG Mortal Shell, which will be launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One during the third quarter of this year. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

As you can see from the trailer above, the game wears its Souls influences on its sleeve, though there’s something much more demonic about Mortal Shell’s whole aesthetic, making it stand out a little bit more.

If you can’t wait until later this year to play the game, there will be a closed beta test on PC that’ll run from July 3rd to July 10th. According to Gematsu, the beta will include two Shells, the chance to use the Hammer and Chisel or Hallowed Sword weapons, and the ability to explore the Crypt of Martyrs. If you’d like a beta code, they’ll be distributed randomly to those subscribed to the mailing list, and they’ll be handed out on the game’s social media channels.
