Happy New Year faithful readers, and what a way to kick-off 2023 for UK wrestling fans as WWE have just announced via press release that Money in the Bank 2023 will be coming to London’s 02 Arena on Saturday, July 1st.
This is huge, absolutely huge, and I for one cannot wait to see one of WWE’s most iconic events come to the UK for the very first time. This comes after the massively successful Clash at the Castle event back in September, which saw Drew McIntyre challenge Roman Reigns for the Unified World Championship in the show’s stellar main-event.
WWE have promised that Money in the Bank will feature the biggest wrestling stars in the biggest high-profile matches, expect plenty of ladder-based chaos and maybe even a few surprises.
WWE’s EVP Dan Ventrelle commented on the matter,
“The O2 is one of the world’s premier venues and the perfect home for Money In The Bank. We are excited to bring one of our ‘Big 5’ events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to London on July 1,”
Ticket information is yet to be revealed, however WWE have provided fans with a presale registry at the following link.
This could mean huge things for the UK in the coming years. Finally, WWE have brought a flagship ‘PLE’ to England for the first time since 2003, who knows what this could lead do – do I hear future UK WrestleMania predictions in the air?
