Miyamoto Making Mario Movie With Minions Studio Illumination Entertainment

Recently we got first news about the Detective Pikachu movie being translated to finally release in Europe, Australia and America, but what we didn’t see coming is an animated Mario movie.

Shigeru Miyamoto will be a co-producer for the new movie that Nintendo has recently confirmed it will be working on with Illumination Entertainment, famous for Minions and Despicable Me.

We don’t have a release date yet, nor do we know who will voice Mario, but it’s unlikely that they’ll pick anyone other than Charles Martinet, who has voiced almost every incarnation of the character.

To top it all off, Nintendo recently signed a deal to open Nintendo Land in three different Universal Studios theme parks, which will feature rides based on major franchises. They’re trying to get the first one, in Osaka, open by the 2020 Olympic Games which will take place in Japan.

If you expected the unexpected and saw this coming from miles away, you probably already expected this article about helpful doors in video games. You didn’t? Then how about the Commodore 64 Mini?
