Microsoft To Host Monthly Xbox Series X Showcases, Exclusives Set For July

Also, potentially the Series X boot up sound.

Inside Xbox

Last week, Microsoft revealed that they would be hosting an Xbox Series X showcase, focusing on revealing next-gen gameplay from global partners, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla confirmed. Today, they’ve announced that May 7th Inside Xbox showcase would be the first in a series of monthly presentations that Microsoft are dubbing Xbox 20/20.

In an Xbox Wire post about the 20/20 presentations, Microsoft promise that these monthly instalments will focus on “what’s next for Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Studios, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud”. Thursday’s showcase will be centered more on third party partners, while the presentation in July will focus more on titles from Xbox Game Studios partners, which means we’ll have to wait a while for more Halo Infinite news.

Inside Xbox will be streaming on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch and Mixer on Thursday, May 7th, at 8am PT, 11am ET, 4pm BST and 5pm CET. In the meantime, you can take a look at what appears to be the start-up animation for the Xbox Series X. I never thought I’d be excited about the idea of a start-up animation, but hot damn, that’s clean.
