Madden NFL 18 Joins The EA Access Vault

Madden NFL 18

Good news for Patriots fans who have revenge on the mind: Madden NFL 18 is now available to download for EA Access subscribers.

The full game comes as part of the subscription, including Longshot: the narrative-focused mode which is at least worth trying out if you’re a lapsed Madden fan or just want to see some drama to go with your poorly-named sport.

Other tweaks and polishes are part of the package with Madden NFL 18 not necessarily revolutionising the annual cycle of football games. It’s more of the same, but when a franchise continues to sell as hotly as this, sometimes it’s easy to just stick close to what works.

From our review:

“Although the game looks outstanding, the rigid game settings, slender ‘Longshot’ story mode and frustrating controls makes it a hard game to enjoy. Madden NFL 18 will appeal to the hardcore NFL fan, but newcomers to the series will struggle.”

If you’re wondering when EA’s other sports franchises are added to the service, FIFA tends to land in April and NHL comes in March.
