Last Chance For July 2018’s PlayStation Plus Games

If you’re yet to dip your toes into the PlayStation Plus pond for July’s games, today is your last chance. Tomorrow (August 7th) brings with it a cavalcade of new games, meaning that July’s offerings float off into the ether, never to return. That is, if you haven’t added them to your library.

The headline act for July was Heavy Rain, the David Cage game that’s quintessentially David Cage. Make tough decisions, press X to Jason, and find yourself lost in the twisty and turny ride. Be warned, though: you have to break a few eggs if you want to make an omelette.

The supporting act (but by no means an inferior effort) is Sloclap’s Absolver, an innovative fighter for people who hate fighting games. Punch and slap your way up to the top of a mountain to unlock the coveted Absolver title before constantly coming up short against other players. The learning curve is steep but absolutely worth suffering through to get the jewel at its center.

The lineup of games to snag before it’s too late:

Absolver – PS4
Heavy Rain – PS4
Rayman 3 HD – PS3
Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess – PS3
Space Overlords – PS Vita
Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma – PS Vita

If you’re struggling for space, just remember that you don’t need to immediately down the games to “own” them. You can just select to add them to your library and then download them at a later time. With the PlayStation Store sometimes slow to refresh the new titles, you may actually have the morning of the 7th to download these games, but don’t dilly dally nevertheless.

While we have you here, put your eyes on our list of the PlayStation 4’s best free games. Want something more general? Our collection of the PS4’s best games is pretty exhaustive if you want to build your library.
