Former NXT superstar LA Knight made his official main roster debut last night under the new moniker of Max Dupri. The newcomer entered the office of Adam Pearce and proclaimed that he was scouting for his new stable, aptly named Maximum Male Models. Dupri then went on to correct Pearce’s pronunciation of his new title.
It comes as no surprise that WWE have rebranded LA Knight, despite this being a name given to him by WWE upon his arrival on the black and gold brand. After all, it wasn’t Vince’s decision, therefore it must be redacted.
Max Dupri has already made his presence known as part of dark matches, managing the likes of Mace and Mansoor who have both adopted a new fashion sense and air of arrogance thanks to Dupri’s influence. Whether this new faction gets off the ground or not will be down to fate, as of right now, Max Dupri seems to be somewhat of a depreciation of the former LA Knight’s talents in the ring, but hey, we’ll see where this goes.
