Morality Guide King's Bounty 2
King's Bounty 2 review

The morality system in King’s Bounty 2 reflects the players choices for their characters, as well as defines what kinds of upgrades and abilities they can get. To help players understand the major morality paths available to them and their overall themes, we compiled this handy introductory guide.

Here are the four main morality paths in King’s Bounty 2:

Order
Anarchy
Power
Finesse

Every path has four tiers of abilities and upgrades. Players unlock each tier by consistently making choices in favor of the desired path. Each action will award a player one point for the desired morality and the goal is to reach specific morality thresholds to unlock the next tier of abilities. Important to note: the first tier of abilities for each morality path is always unlocked to the player

These morality points are separate from talent points, which players receive from levelling their character up from quests, combat, and encounters. Every upgrade and ability will have a talent point cost associated with it and most of these unlocks will have several upgrade levels (usually up to three), which come at increased talent point costs and a more powerful effect.

Here’s everything you need to know about morality in King’s Bounty 2.

Order

In broad strokes, the Order path represents lawfulness, selflessness, and doing good for the sake of others. As a result, abilities associated with this path usually buff the hero’s experience gain, a variety of unit effects like morale, and improved healing. These abilities are generally quite flexible and play a helpful support role to any character build.

Anarchy

Anarchy is the path of selfishness, profit, and the general disregard for the plight of others. Upgrades found in this path are all about increasing treasure rewards and improving unit critical damage, to make sure when the player’s units hit, the enemy cannot respond in kind. Compared to Order, Anarchy has more specialization, especially in the abilities that give units unexpected abilities, such as life drain or damage reflection.

Power

For something simple and deadly, the Power path represents strength, aggression, and direct damage. Nearly all unlocks for this path improve unit damage or combat performance in some way, either by directly upgrading unit stats or increasing the hero’s stats, which will inevitably positively affect the player’s army. This path is perfect for battlefield commanders who rely on their troops to tackle challenges head on.

Finesse

The Finesse morality is the path of diplomacy, arcane knowledge, and the casting of spells. Upgrades here almost exclusively focus on improving the main character’s magical prowess, such as learning schools of magic, improving spell effects, or making it easier to upgrade said spells. This morality is perfect for those who want to take a hands-on approach to any problem and utilize their extensive arcane abilities to tackle challenges.

King’s Bounty 2’s morality system is quite straightforward and has some room for player experimentation. It’s up to the player to figure, what combination of paths and abilities will best reflect their chosen character and playstyle.
