Kenny Omega made his triumphant return to AEW Dynamite last night as part of the AEW Trio’s Championship tournament match alongside the Young Bucks. Kenny was slated for a return for the best part of the past month, With many folk anticipating that he will be the mystery partner for his Elite pals.

The former AEW champion was victorious in his return match, defeating the team of Andrade El Idolo, Dragon Lee and Rush to advance in the tournament. The story of this match however was entirely based around Kenny’s injuries, with rumours flying around that he is still not 100%. This added into the match’s drama with him wrestling in a rashguard to avoid any further damage to his knees or his shoulders.

This marks Kenny’s first match since being injured in November of 2021, and it seemed like it was well received by the fans in attendance. Here’s hoping that Omega continues to improve and remain as healthy as we approach All Out in September. With the headline and now included in the AEW trio’s brackets, it will come as no surprise if he and the Young Bucks are featured in the finals against perhaps The Dark Order or United Empire.
