Every adventure map ends with a boss encounter with one of the many creepy characters that the mysterious dark figure inhabits. These bosses can be quite challenging in Inscryption if not prepared, so let’s help you ease into their encounters with a Prospector guide.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Prospector in Inscryption.
Pack Mule
The first stage of the Prospector plays out almost like any previous combat encounter, except for one major feature: The Prospector starts the encounter with a pack mule and a coyote. The pack mule holds an envelope of cards, so if the player eliminates it they’ll receive a number of random cards to refill their hand.
Gold Nuggets
Once the player has defeated the Prospector once, the fight moves on to stage 2. In this transition the boss will turn every player creature into a nugget of gold, so if you had the field fully occupied with creatures you’ll suddenly find that you can’t play anything until the Prospector’s creatures knock out the golden nuggets. Other than that, the encounter proceeds as any other encounter.
The Prospector can be a tricky opponent as it punishes aggressive swarm play and can halt any momentum the player had built up. Knowing this, patience and playing defensively will help you prevail over the Prospector.
