Little Nightmares 2 is a horror sequel that is the opposite of what its name suggests — it will give you plenty of nightmares. Question is: how long is Little Nightmares 2, and will its spooks last the distance?

Here’s everything you need to know about the length of time you’ll be playing as Mono alongside Six as you look to stop a nefarious transmission in Little Nightmares 2.

Little Nightmares 2 Story Length

Without a guide, Little Nightmares should take you between 5 and 6 hours to complete the first time around. There are a few puzzles that will give you pause for thought, including one revolving around chess, but otherwise it’s fairly straightforward.

On our second playthrough, we were able to absolutely speed through the game in less than 3 hours, though this is because we knew where everything was, didn’t suffer as many deaths, and didn’t look around nearly as much.

Little Nightmares 2 Full Completion

For added longevity, Little Nightmares 2 actually has quite a lot to collect for 100% completion, much more so than the first game.

Mono can not only collect hats that he can wear, but also Glitching Remains that he can encounter. With over a dozen of each and them all being fairly well hidden in the dark world of Pale City and beyond, you are going to be looking around for these for at least a couple extra hours. This is especially true as you will have to play through whole sections of the game again to get to the collectible you need as there’s only chapter selection, no scene selection.

On top of that, Little Nightmares 2 is also bursting at the seams with achievements and trophies, only a handful of which are tied to story progression. We’ve completed the full game twice on Steam, yet only have 11 out of 35 achievements. A lot of these are tied to secrets, such as Post Industrial and Bully of Bullies, so there’s going to be plenty of fun easter egg hunting.

Ultimately, while Little Nightmares 2 isn’t the longest game in the world, it’s definitely longer than the first game and also gives plenty of bang for your buck.

Little Nightmares 2 is available February 11th for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. It will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S via backwards compatibility.
