How Long Is Amnesia: Rebirth?

Forget me not.

Amnesia: Rebirth, released October 20th for PC and PS4, is the newest horror game from Frictional Games that continues their trend of creating narrative-driven scares that are meant to be dissected and examined. But how long is Amnesia: Rebirth itself?

Amnesia: Rebirth will take most players between 6 and 8 hours to beat the story. The main thing that will impact individual playtime will be the puzzles (though they aren’t too difficult) and how thoroughly they want to search for lore.

Rebirth takes roughly as long to beat as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but does seem a little shorter than SOMA, which players report takes roughly 9 hours to complete. That said, there’s a reason why some people may complete Rebirth quicker than Frictional’s other games.

Death/failure is not a major roadblock in Amnesia: Rebirth due to an interesting mechanic the game has, so there’s little to no chance of you getting stuck on anything other than a puzzle, or getting lost in the dark.

Rebirth also has multiple endings, though you do not have to start a new game to experience them — just load from an earlier save.

Amnesia: Rebirth does also have an absolute tonne of trophies and achievements for completionists, giving it plenty of replayability. We completed the story and then unlocked all of the endings, yet we only have 26 out of 41 achievements for the game. The world of Rebirth has a lot of secrets to uncover.

Amnesia: Rebirth is available for PC via Epic Games Store and Steam, and PS4.
