Hello Kitty Joins Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, Yes, Really

The most ambitious crossover event ever involving monkeys in giant marbles continues.

After adding Kiryu from Yakuza, Morgana from Persona 5, and Sega mascots Sonic and Tails, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will also include Hello Kitty herself as a playable character– for a small price.

Whereas the other crossover characters will be included in the base game for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, Hello Kitty will be available as optional DLC when the game is released on October 5th. She’ll be $4.99 (or equivalent) for anyone who wants to play as the most adorable mascot.

For those who don’t know, Hello Kitty is the enormously popular mascot for the Sanrio brand of the same name, which is a merchandising juggernaut and the second most profitable media franchises in history, behind only Pokemon. Hello Kitty is a globally recognized icon with plenty of toys, video games, tv shows and anything else that can fit her image on it. Having Hello Kitty in the game is definitely a huge win for Sega, even if she is only available as DLC. It makes sense you don’t get to be as valuable as Hello Kitty by being in a Super Monkey Ball game for free.

When is Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Released?

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will release on October 5th, 2021, on PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
