Helldivers 2 is finally out, and if you’ve purchased the Super Citizen Edition, you’re in for a bunch of cosmetic and utility goodies. You may be wondering how to access some of this stuff, and fortunately, you can use it all early in your playthrough. There’s a lot to unpick in this beefy edition of Helldivers 2, so here’s everything you need to know about what’s included in the Super Citizen Edition upgrade and how to access its content.
What’s Included in the Super Citizen Edition?
There’s a bunch of content that comes with the Super Citizen Edition that ranges from cosmetic gear to an arcade game to enjoy during your downtime after squashing the galaxy’s biggest pests. Here’s a quick overview of all the goodies you’ll get in the Super Citizen Edition.
Will of the People Cape
Cosmetic cape. No passive buffs.
DP-53 Saviour of the Free
Armour set that grants you passive buffs. 50% chance not to die upon a lethal hit / prevent bleed damage if chest haemorrhages.
Super Citizen Status
A fancy title to display in game.
Stratagem Hero Ship Game
A unique games console on your ship that lets you play arcade-style minigames in between missions.
Steeled Veterans Premium Warbond
Essentially, it’s a premium battle pass that nets you extra rewards.
MP-98 Knight Weapon
Unique light armour penetrating submachine gun.
How to Access the Super Citizen Edition Content
The first thing you’ll want to do is complete the opening tutorial for Helldivers 2, and once you’ve arrived on your own destroyer-class ship, you’ll have access to all the goodies you’ll need. This won’t take long to complete either, so you’ll be able to access everything you need almost right away.
The first thing you’ll come across is the stratagem hero ship game, which is located to the right of where you first spawn. It’s essentially a minigame that allows you to practice calling in stratagems, a mechanic you’ll be using out in the field quite a lot.
To access the Steeled Veteran Premium Warbond, you’ll want to head over to the Acquisitions menu (press square on PS5 or R on PC) and scroll down to the premium battle pass. Players who have not purchased the Super Citizen Edition have the option to purchase it for 1000 Super Credits, a microtransaction currency that is also earnable. You’ll notice you won’t be able to pick up any of the gear right away, as you’ll have to deliver some sweet justice to the galaxy’s biggest threats first before you can purchase any of the cosmetic items and weapons.
The armour and weapon can be found at the Armoury terminal located on the left when walking towards the bridge. You can choose to equip the helmet, cape, and armour if you wish, or mix and match with others you’ve unlocked. From the same menu, you can access the Super Citizen title, which can be found under the Character tab, and at the bottom is the option to change your title.
