Every time you dive into bug-infested hell or automaton madness, death is almost guaranteed in Helldivers 2 unless you make great use of Stratagems. Stratagems are crucial to getting you and your squad to the finish line, as you can call down an array of impressive firepower to support the offensive against the galaxy’s greatest pests. From missile barrages and turrets to heavy weaponry and ammo replenishment, Stratagems are diverse and plentiful, fit to cover all kinds of situations that your squad will find themselves in.

Where to Find the Stratagem Terminal
Once you’ve completed the tutorial and named your ship, you’ll first need to complete some missions to gather the resources necessary to unlock your first set of Stratagems. To do this, you’ll want to head over to the Ship Management terminal located opposite where you first spawned on your ship. There are four terminals, meaning your whole squad can pick and choose at the same time, regardless of whose ship you’re on.
Switch to the Stratagems tab, and you’ll be able to see which ones can be purchased and the ones that are locked. Additional Stratagems will become available to purchase as you level up, giving you more variety and firepower as you grow more experienced with Helldivers 2 mechanics. Every Stratagem costs a certain amount of credits, so you’ll need to play missions to purchase it if you’re a few credits shy.

The Stratagems in Helldivers 2 are split into 6 categories that all mechanically vary to support your squad in unique ways on the battlefield. They are as follows:
