GWENT Launching On Android Next Month

Gwent Standalone

CD Projekt Red have announced that GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, the spin-off focusing on that minigame in The Witcher 3 that derailed so many adventures, will be launching on Android devices on March 24th, and the game will be available for free via Google Play.

Pre-registration is live now for GWENT, and doing so will grant you the unique Imperial Golem avatar when the game launches next month. The Android version is tailored for touchscreen controls, and you’ll be able to experience full cross-play with players who are on PC and iOS devices. You’ll even be able to share progress and purchases through GOG.com, which is nice.

With GWENT’s addictive, deckbuilding gameplay, we imagine there will be plenty of people spending a little too long on the toilet playing a mobile card game instead of working. That said, the commenter Stephen Jones on the video above has the right idea that the game should enable bluetooth, so you can play GWENT at the pub, the way it was intended.
