Gran Turismo 7 is the newest entry in the prominent PlayStation racing simulation franchise that launched Friday, March 4th, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. But is GT7 also coming to PC?

The Gran Turismo franchise is extremely popular and has amassed many fans throughout the years. In fact, the developer of the Gran Turismo games, Polyphony Digital, has been creating them since 1997.

Gran Turismo 7 marks the seventh main installment of the franchise, and excitement about the game was palpable. It promises and has delivered a remarkable racing experience to its players.

With its anticipated release date coming and going, fans of the racing series are left wondering if GT7 will ever be available on PC. There is hope, especially with PlayStation’s recent push towards PC gaming.

What’s In Gran Turismo 7?

The newest addition to the Gran Turismo franchise didn’t disappoint when it launched. GT7 has over 90 tracks in the game for players to explore and learn.

There are several areas for gamers to utilize in single-player career progression mode. Brand Central hosts all cars that are post-2011. The Used Cars Dealer houses older and discontinued cars, with its lineup being updated daily.

Players will also have their Garage in GT7, which can store up to 1000 cars for the players to view and fix up. Gran Turismo 7 also offers Scapes, where players can take realistic HDR photos of their cars in over 2500 locations from 40 different countries.

Mission Challenge provides unique events that are different from regular racing if GT7 fans are looking to do other things with their cars. Lastly, the World Circuits are there to race on, with over 90 different layouts to try.

Gran Turismo 7 offers over 400 different cars to choose from, such as the Acura NSX GT3, the Ford GT, and the Subaru WRX GT3.

Will Gran Turismo 7 Make Its Way to PC?

Gran Turismo 7 was released on March 4th, 2022 as a PlayStation exclusive. The game is currently only available for PS4 and PS5. As it stands right now, GT7 is not available for or officially making its way to PC.

However, this exclusivity period could possibly be temporary. GT7 could follow the path of games like Days Gone or God of War, which both eventually made their way to the PC platform. This wouldn’t be for a few years, though, just like the games mentioned above.

With that being said, no game in the Gran Turismo franchise has ever made its way to PC. Sony has recently been making a push towards PC gaming, so it does leave hope for the future. Gamers shouldn’t expect to see GT7 on their PC in 2022, with 2024 being more likely for a PC release, if it does release on PC at all.

If you don’t want to wait, you can always try playing GT7 through Remote Play on your PC. You’ll want to set up Remote Play in your settings on your console, which will allow you to play PlayStation games on your PC.
