God of War: Here’s Kratos Saying “Boy” For Over An Hour

I‘m not sure why you’re reading this — you should already be scanning for the embed. The headline is pretty clear, and I don’t want to hold you up from the magic that is Kratos saying “boy” for well over an hour in God of War.

Here’s the aforementioned magic, courtesy of the supremely dedicated TuYasRecords. Beware of some spoilers, however.

It seems that Kratos’ past and advanced age has made him such a wreck that he has forgotten his son’s name. I mean, wouldn’t you forget some things if you had been hit as repeatedly as the Ghost of Sparta? I can barely even remember where I live.

One of the best things about this video, even if it does loop a few scenes, is that it shows that Christopher Judge is very versatile at saying “boy” over and over again. It’s always slightly and subtly different, not unlike Guardians of the Galaxy’s Groot. That isn’t a comparison I thought I would be making when I woke up this morning.

Fan of God of War? Check out our review:

“While the changes brought around for God of War may rankle some, it feels like the natural evolution for a series that you wouldn’t believe is now seven games deep, judging by just how re-energised it feels in its latest incarnation. Kratos is back, and so too is one of PlayStation’s least heroic heroes with great aplomb.”

God of War earned a place on our lists for the best games exclusive to PS4, the best games of the year, and also the best PS4 games overall. Yep, it’s pretty good.
