If you’ve been astounded by the beauty on display in the world of God of War, or you just want Kratos to take selfies with his boy, Santa Monica Studio have you covered. In a free update going out today, you can now utilise a photo mode to capture all the best screenshots.

Available through the options menu or via quick touchpad access if you enable it, you can mess around with things like camera, aperture, filters, borders and characters. You can also change the facial expressions of both Kratos and Atreus, so expect some absolutely hilarious screenshots of Sony’s best dad pulling funny faces.

This update also adds a couple of quality of life changes, including an increase in menu text size and the ability to remap the Rage mode. If you find clicking in the thumbsticks too fiddly, this update is perfect for you, and you can even take a picture of Kratos being as happy as you are.

We reviewed God of War last month, and like everyone else on Planet Earth, we loved it. Our head honcho Jimmy had the following to say in his 10/10 review:

It’s not the God of War you once knew, but Kratos’ debut on PS4 brings the franchise back into the limelight in a big way as one of the best games of its generation.

Will you be making use of the photo mode in God of War? Which locations will you capture first? Sound off in the comments below, and check out these tips if you’ve found yourself struggling with Kratos’ new adventure.
