Ghost of Tsushima, despite all the action, is a quietly reflective game that makes you absorb the beauty of the war-torn island you’re fighting to reclaim. There isn’t much to rival playing the flute in terms of chill factor.

The flute is available as soon as you get out into the open world part following the game’s first hour or so. You can equip it by swiping left on the DualShock 4’s touchpad, which will then make Jin automatically start playing whichever song you have equipped.

You unlock one song by default: “The Sun’s Warm Embrace”.

The other songs are “Lament of the Storm”, “Shadows in the Fog” and “A Chorus of Raindrops” which can all be found by collecting Singing Crickets out in the wild. We will be hunting down all of these Singing Crickets and letting you know what we find.

Each of these songs will change the weather. “The Sun’s Warm Embrace”, for instance, will make Tsushima a far sunnier place to be. Handy if you want to clear the skies for the game’s photo mode, which is among the best out there.

Ghost of Tsushima is out now exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
