Sucker Punch’s samurai epic appears to have been a huge success for PlayStation, as it’s been announced that Ghost of Tsushima has managed to sell over 5 million copies on PS4 since its launch back in July. It’s an impressive amount of sales for a new IP towards the end of the PS4’s life cycle.
5 Million Copies, Eh?
Yes, the figure was revealed as part of a New York Times profile on the PS5 as a whole, which also revealed that the God of War series has managed to sell a total of 51 million copies across all of its games. It’s a brilliant figure for Ghost of Tsushima, and it’s no wonder that Sucker Punch are seemingly looking into developing a sequel for the game, according to some job listings anyway.
Is Ghost of Tsushima Playable On PS5?
Through backwards compatibility, you can play Ghost of Tsushima on your PS5, and better still, the Game Boost feature will ensure better framerate and visual while you attempt to drive back the invading Mongol forces. If you’ve got a PS5 and you’re looking for a new game to play, Tsushima is always a good shout.
