Genshin Impact’s next major update, dropping on March 17, is set to deliver a large array of new content, chief among them being the in-game event ‘An Invitation to Windblume.’

The Windblume Festival, which will be available to all players who have cleared Adventure Rank 20 and completed the “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” quests, will allow players to take part in a massive celebration that contains minigames, both for single player and co-op, which can earn players unique prizes. The games are called Bullseye Balloons (archery), Floral Freefall (gliding), and Ballads of Breeze (ballads).

In addition these minigames, the festival will also give players a chance to spend time with Bennett, Chongyun, Noelle and Barbara. These character interactions can give players multiple different endings and memories, dependent on players’ dialogue choices.

There’s also a new area called Peculiar Wonderland, a more challenging event where you will have to complete three random challenges to earn buffs for a final boss fight. Success in Peculiar Wonderland will get players Peculiar Collab Coupons, which can be cashed in for weapon ascension materials and the new four-star bow, Windblume Ode.

What Else Is New In The Update?

In addition to these festival events, the update also brings the new four-star character Rosaria, “Thorny Benevolence,” who players may have already encountered in story missions involving Albedo in Dragonspire. New story missions will continue the mystery of the Abyss Order as players explore new areas and fight new enemies, like the new Abyss Herald.

There will also be new quality of life updates for the massive free RPG, such as increasing the amount of Original Resin players can hold from 120 to 160, and increasing the max amount of Condensed Resin to five. Players will also be able to lower their World Level in both single-player and co-op modes.

More details on the update can be found on MiHoYo’s official Genshin Impact youtube page.
