While FromSoftware have made their name most recently through the success of the Dark Souls series and Elden Ring, fans of a certain age will remember them more for their mech-based combat series Armored Core. The series has been on quite the hiatus, but that all changed at The Game Awards 2022, when Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S in 2023. Check out the debut trailer above.
The trailer is light on details regarding what we can expect from Armored Core VI, aside from big robots, bigger guns and even bigger explosions. No gameplay was shown, but given how on form FromSoftware have been over the past decade, it’s probably going to be excellent.
