What Is Four Knights Of The Apocalypse About?
The sequel to Meliodas’ legendary story takes place years after the end of the saga of Britannia’s Holy Knights. That’s right, the Seven Deadly Sins world is getting a time skip. A 16-year time skip, according to Chapter 6 of the manga.
This time, the main protagonist is a boy named Percival. With only his grandfather as a companion, he spent most of his life isolated from most of the world. That all changed when a mysterious villain came and murdered his grandfather. With his dying breath, Percival’s grandfather instructs him to find his father whom Percival thought was long dead.
Percival goes out on his own, but not for long, as he makes friends along the way. Not long after, another life-changing discovery reveals itself. Percival is destined to become a Knight of the Apocalypse, one of four people destined to destroy the world.
Which Studio Is Making Four Knights Of The Apocalypse?
The time skip and new main cast aren’t the only major changes to the series. Four Knights Of The Apocalypse will also have some new teams in charge of production and animation. Kodansha and TMS Entertainment will handle production, while Telecom Animation Film will be animating it.
Kodansha actually has experience working on The Seven Deadly Sins. It was involved in the production of several seasons and even the first movie. Kodansha’s other productions include Attack On Titan and Blue Lock.
Unlike Kodansha, this is TMS Entertainment’s first time producing a Seven Deadly Sins season. Some of its most well-known works include Orange and Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro.
This is also Telecom Animation Film’s first time with the franchise, but not its first time working with TMS Entertainment. Orange and Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro were also animated by Telecom Animation Film.
Where To Watch Four Knights Of The Apocalypse
There is still no news regarding which streaming platforms have the license to stream Four Knights Of The Apocalypse. However, considering The Seven Deadly Sins’ popularity, it’s only a matter of time before a streaming service announces the show’s inclusion on its site.
The most likely option would be Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll already has Four Knights Of The Apocalypse manga chapters up on their website. It only makes sense for them to try and get the rights to stream the anime as well.
