Fortnite’s 5th Birthday: Challenges, Free Rewards & What You Need To Know

If you can quite believe it, Fortnite: Battle Royale is turning half a decade old. From struggling PVE game to one of the biggest PVP games in history, Fortnite’s life has never been boring. To celebrate the landmark, Epic is releasing Fortnite’s 5th Birthday challenges with free rewards up for grabs by all.

This year, despite it being such a momentous occasion, is unfortunately very similar to previous birthday events in Fortnite — you probably know the routine by now. Find cake, presents, and balloons to get yourself some free rewards before the event ends. While nobody is using them all the time, it’s quite satisfying to look back on the birthday cosmetics in your locker and think back on how much Fortnite has changed over the years.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s 5th Birthday, including what the challenges are, which free rewards are available, and when all the fun kicks off.

 

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday: When Does It Begin?

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday challenges will be available from 9 AM ET / 2PM BST on September 23rd, 2022.

 

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday Challenges

There are only due to be three challenges in total for Fortnite’s 5th Birthday event.

– Throw Birthday Presents (5) – Sparklecake
– Consume Birthday Cake in different matches(5) – Fuzfetti Cake Back Bling
– Use Balloons in a single match (5) – Celebratory Slice Pickaxe

These are all very easy challenges to complete. Birthday cake can be found in most major POIs, while Birthday Presents and Balloons are both easily found as loot on the floor and in chests when added back into the game.

It will take you a minimum of five matches to clear up all the challenges for Fortnite’s 5th Birthday.

 

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday Rewards

Here are all of the rewards you can unlock for taking part in Fortnite’s 5th Birthday challenges:

– Fuzzfetti Cake Back Bling
– Celebratory Slice Pickaxe
– Sparklecake Emoticon

Bear in mind that these are exclusive and will not release in the Fortnite Item Shop down the line. You also don’t need to have the Chapter 3 – Season 4 Battle Pass.

 

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday: When Does It End?

Fortnite’s 5th Birthday event will conclude on 9 AM ET / 2PM BST on September 27th, 2022. Get munching on some cake while you can.
