With the days ticking away until the big event begins, Epic Games have today teased what we can expect from this year’s Fortnitemares in, um, Fortnite. It looks like a polarising weapon may be making a return.
Epic shared the following photo accompanied by a very catchy ditty:
Take the shot,
If you have enough to last.

The Revolver seems like it might belong to the cowboy zombie skin already teased ahead of Fortnitemares, but what’s most important here is that it almost certainly suggests the gun will be returning after a fair amount of time in the vault.
The Revolver was notorious for generally not being all that reliable due to the amount of RNG tied to it: even when you had an enemy lined up perfectly, there was no guarantee it would hit. Usage rates were low (I would even have preferred to pick up a common Pistol over it), leading to Epic removing it from the game to presumably tweak it.
If the Revolver was to make a comeback, it needs to be a good choice and not a consolation prize in your loadout. The rate of fire certainly should be look at, especially when you can actually shoot them fairly quickly in reality. Why not also pair it with another Revolver to make it a dual choice and then lower the damage?
