Fortnitemares 2018 Challenges – Part 3 Walkthrough

With Fortnitemares 2018 well underway and anyone not playing Red Dead Redemption 2 probably battling other players and arguably too many zombies, there’s a new wealth of challenges to make your way through in Fortnite.

Completing all of the different challenges in their respective parts nets you a pretty sweet ass glider and apart from one challenge that asks you to track down gargoyles, it all kind of explains itself. If you’re struggling with the Fortnitemares 2018 challenges, here’s what you need to do for Part 3, which I would suggest is probably the toughest one of the lot.

Quick note: you do not need to have the Battle Pass to complete the below challenges. Your reward is the Virulent Flames contrail, which is a Rare item.

 

Fortnitemares 2018 Challenges – Part 3 Walkthrough

Destroy Cube Brutes (25) – 500 XP
The big lads can be a big bother if you allow them to get too close as they can do a fair bit of damage with a couple of hits. Though they are more resilient than their peers, you can quite easily down them with two shotgun headshots, which also can be paired with another challenge from Part 2 to kill two birds with one stone.

Deal Damage with Explosive Weapons To Cube Monsters (2000) – 500 XP
The only real pain from this challenge stems from the fact that explosives aren’t quite as common as they used to be. While you can technically use grenades, a Rocket or Grenade Launcher will get the job done far quicker. If you get a conga line of Cube Monsters going by simply walking past them and making them follow you, you can stack damage quite quickly and dust this one off by exploding them in their cluster.

Search Chests in Corrupted Areas (7) – 500 XP
Not an easy challenge this, but one you can complete with some patience and luck. We have a full map of all the Corrupted Areas if you need it, but the simple rule of thumb is to try and avoid a Corrupted Area that is near to the bus’s route and to also jump towards one near the end so that it is less trafficked. You may be able to get this done in about ten matches, if you’re lucky.

Multi-Stage: Visit [Insert Location] (3) – 500 XP
Another of the stupid multi-stage challenges that asks you to finish your match before revealing what the next stage is or even allowing you to do it if you already know what it is. The “route” of places to visit is the following: Wailing Woods > Fatal Fields > Haunted Hills. I really hate these, but I’d rather not go back to opening chests at Risky Reels in truth because nobody else should have to go through that.
