Fortnite‘s collaborated with a lot of properties over the years as part of their Icon series, but it’s fair to say that nobody expected the Wu-Tang Clan to appear in Fortnite.
The collaboration was teased early on by prominent leakers before Wu-Tang themselves sent out a tweet hinting at the collaboration to come.

Since then, Fortnite content creators have shared the Wu-Tang X Fortnite merch they’ve been sent, all but confirming a major collaboration is on the way. Now, it’s all official, with RZA saying the following:
“Fortnite has been in my household for years. It’s been a pleasure and joy watching the game evolve, while becoming the go to pastime. This collaboration is a multigenerational ‘drip’ of swag and cool. If what you say is true, Fortnite and Wutang could be Fortangerous….”

Who Are The Wu-Tang Clan?
While not quite as active as they once were, Wu-Tang Clan remain one of the most popular and influential hip-hop groups in the world.
Formed in the early 90s, the supergroup found great success with the single single “Protect Ya Neck” before the release of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), one of the most groundbreaking and acclaimed albums of all time, regardless of genre.
Members of the group would go on to do many of their own solo projects over the years, with the likes of RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man, and ODB having giant success on their own and as part of Wu-Tang. Many Wu-Tang games, clothing lines, and albums would follow.
Sadly, in 2004, ODB died while in the recording studio, with the group not releasing a new album until 2007 with 8 Diagrams.
Wu-Tang Clan hasn’t made a publicly available album since A Better Tomorrow in 2014, as their most recent album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, was sold exclusively to the highest bidder.
Fortnite Wu-Tang Clan Skins
UPDATE: the Wu-Tang sadly won’t feature any skins of the actual members, and will instead focus on Wu Wear, with the Throwback BG and B.R.I.T.E outfits coming to the Item Shop.

A Back Bling and Pickaxe will also be available for purchase for each skin. Players can buy the Wu Wear Bundle for both skins and other cosmetics.
Fortnite will also be getting the Wu-Tang Forever Emote, the Shimmy Surfer Glider, Wu Wrap, Wu-Tang Banner, and Wu Boom Box Spray for purchase.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Wu-Tang Clan crossover will feature two skins that will have two styles each. As well as that, there will also Back Blings and Pickaxes.

It’s not clear yet if the collaboration will feature actual Wu-Tang members as skins, or if Epic will instead opt to do something like their Cobra Kai crossover and have default characters in Wu-Tang attire. Considering Wu-Tang is often pushed as a “lifestyle”, it’s probably going to be the latter.
Fortnite Wu-Tang Clan Skins Prices
As with all Fortnite crossover skins, the Fortnite x Wu-Tang crossover skins will cost 1500 V-Bucks apiece from the Fortnite Item Shop.
Players will also likely be able to purchase the Wu-Tang bundle that includes both skins and all cosmetics for around 2000 V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop.
Fortnite Wu-Tang Clan Skins Release Date
The Fortnite x Wu-Tang skins are currently set to release on April 23rd, 2022 at 8PM ET / April 24th, 2022 at 1AM BST in the Item Shop.
Based on the rest of the crossovers, the Wu-Tang skins will remain in the Item Shop for at least a week before being cycled. They will almost certainly return at some point down the line, though it does hinge on how successful they are.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
