Fortnite: Season 7 is one of the biggest new seasons every, keyword new. With the new season comes a whole host of new weapons and items, one of the major additions begin the Rail Gun.

The Rail Gun is a bit of a classic weapon in science fiction, usually a massive weapon that deals a huge amount of damage, typically from a laser. And now it’s in Fortnite, available in three different rarities.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Rail Gun in Fortnite.

The Rail Gun is available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities. The rarer the version it is, the more damage the weapon does and the lower the reload time.

It’s a bit of an unusual weapon in that when you press fire, there’s a slight delay as it powers up, meaning that you leave yourself exposed.

The big thing about the Rail Gun is that it seems to be able to shoot through builds, which will immediately make it feel a bit overpowered. While we’ve had strong weapons like the Heavy Sniper that can break builds in one hit, we’ve rarely ever seen a gun that can shoot through them altogether.

Fortnite Season 7: Rail Gun Location

As it’s not an Exotic or Mythic weapon and comes in different rarities, the Rail Gun can be found everywhere where there is loot, meaning that it should be in chests, floor loot, and other places.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
