Fortnite: Season 7 is quickly on its way, with it already “cropping up” across the map in the form of UFOs and strange circles. But when does Season 6 end, and when does Fortnite: Season 7 begin?

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 6: Primal (to give it its full name) has been a somewhat polarising season of Fortnite, with many players not able to gel with its giant changes to the general gameplay. Storywise, we saw The Foundation tease us about never before seen characters like Genō before being encased in The Spire to save the Zero Point.

If you can’t wait for the Destroy All Humans x Fortnite season you never knew you wanted, here’s everything you need to know about when Fortnite: Season 7 will kick off, including date, time, and downtime.

What Day Does Fortnite: Season 7 Begin?

Fortnite: Season 7 will begin on June 8th, 2021.

This means that Fortnite: Season 6 will have lasted for 53 days, making it a pretty normal Fortnite season in terms of length. It’s very unusual that there’s been no overtime as has become custom with Fortnite in recent years, but it seems the classic ten-week format just doesn’t apply.

Don’t forget to complete any outstanding Battle Pass challenges before Season 6 ends and Season 7 begins because once the season is over, you won’t be able to make any additional progress.

What Time Does Fortnite: Season 7 Begin?

Historically speaking, new Fortnite seasons go into downtime early in the morning and then go live after a few hours. In the past, Fortnite has gone into downtime at around 8AM BST before then coming back online before noon.

However, Epic don’t always abide by their own rules, so the downtime starting and ending might be sometime completely different. We will update this when we have the confirmed details, but you can probably go to sleep and wake up to a new season of Fortnite.

What To Expect From Fortnite: Season 7

If you’re curious about what Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 7 will entail, aliens is the answer.

As of June 2nd, players are being tractor beamed up by UFOs and then transported all across the island in games of Battle Royale.

On top of that, there are also the aforementioned crop circles which share symbols with those already seen around the island, and they line up with all of the Guardian Towers around the island.

What this all means is anybody’s guess, whether we’ll be getting a new map or something else, but one thing’s for sure: Fortnite really needs to start answering some mysteries before it starts posing a tonne more.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
