Fortnite Season 6 Guide: Week 8 Battle Pass Challenges Walkthrough

A quick run-through of everything you need to do for the Battle Pas challenges in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 6.

Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite Season 6, week 8’s challenges have landed. Three of the challenges are free (not requiring a Battle Pass) and the other four still require the 950 V-bucks investment. The challenges this week are largely recycled from previous seasons, with three of them being direct clones with very little alterations from previous incarnations. Additionally, Epic has decided to squeeze two travel and search intensive challenges into a single week. This week, then, is fairly packed with time consuming but interesting challenges for us to sink our teeth into.

Fortnite Season 6 Week 8 Challenges – Free Tiers

Multi-stage: Visit two named locations per stage (5 stages)
A multi-stage challenge that made an appearance earlier on in the season. You’re required to visit two specifically named locations per stage of the challenge. There are five stages in total and therefore ten locations that need to be visited. The order of the paired locations are as follows: Lonely Lodge and Retail Row > Junk Junction and Pleasant Park > Flush Factory and Fatal Fields > Haunted Hills and Lazy Links > Tomato Temple and Shifty Shafts.

Dance with a fish trophy at different named locations (7 fish trophies)
A throwback to the ole’ days where elaborate treasure hunts were the weekly norm. You need to find and dance in front of seven different – and surprisingly difficult to find – Dancing Fish Trophies. As this is quite an involved challenge, read our Dancing Fish Trophies location guide here.

Six Shooter or Heavy Assault Rifle eliminations (2 eliminations)
Fairly self explanatory challenge. Both of these weapon’s are fairly new, so you may not be as experienced with them as you are other weapons, which may be off-putting. However, both weapons are quite strong and it only requires two eliminations in total. Nothing too out of the ordinary here.

Get a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters (3 skeet shooters)
Another involved challenge for the week and for all intents and purposes identical to Season 5’s iteration of this challenge. You need to locate three different skeet machines and shoot down three Clay Pigeons in a row. You can find our guide for that here.

Get Trick points in a vehicle (250,000 points)
Another Season 5 challenge making a late return. For this challenge, you’ll need to find a vehicle and launch it into the air (with you still in it), at this point you’ll start accumulating ‘trick points’, with you accumulating more if you do stunts (e.g. flips, spins, etc.). You need to land the vehicle back on its wheels to be ‘granted’ the points and for it count towards the challenge. Nothing overly tricky to this one really, just find a vehicle and start flinging it off ramps and inclines. Just make sure to land on your wheels.

Visit different named locations in a single match (4 named locations)
This challenge has its roots in both Season 4 and 5, asking you to visit four different named locations in a single match. This is the kind of challenge best directly focused on, planning out and following a specific route. If you attempt this during the course of normal gameplay, you’re at the mercy of having a good match, as visiting four different named locations typically doesn’t happen in the average game unless you’re a very passive (or sneaky) player.

Multi-stage: Use mobility items (3 stages)
A typical multi-stage challenge that asks you to use the various types of mobility items in Fortnite. The first stage requires the use of a Grappler. The second stage wants you to use a Launch Pad. The final stage requires the use of a Rift-to-Go.
