Fortnite Season 5 Guide: Score A Basket On Different Hoops & Basketball Hoop Locations

A couple of hours after some QoL improvements on the matchmaking side of things created downtime, Fortnite’s week 2 challenge for season 5 are finally here. They’re exactly as the leaks suggested, with Score A Basket On Different Hoops being present.

You may struggle to immediately think of five different courts to shoot the hoops on, which is why we’ve concocted a quick look at some of them on the Fortnite map, as well as the best route to take to complete the challenge quicker.

Thanks to the introduction of rifts, traversing the map is easier than ever. To almost certainly make your way through at least four of the shots (if the storm is kind), you want to make your way to Retail Row, Considerable Containers, use the rift near Dusty to arrive at Tilted and then saunter your way over to the Football Factory. It’s easier to approach this challenge from the eastern side of the map as you are far less likely to encounter trouble.

Fortnite Basketball Hoop Locations

As you can see there are more than the five you need on the Fortnite map, and this isn’t even a comprehensive listing of all of the basketball hoops — we may have missed some. I’d still recommend approaching from the east instead of the west, purely because it’s far less populated.

 

Retail Row Hoop Location

The most famous of all of the basketball hoops on the Fortnite map, you can find this house directly next to the house with the chest in the doghouse. Expect plenty of people here. Find it at H6 on the map.

 

Considerable Containers Hoop Location

One of Fortnite’s most difficult places to smoothly loot has a basketball court that is luckily on the “surface”. Simply make your in the direction of Tomato Town and you will find the court tucked away. I only know it’s there because I sniped a guy last week who was trying to hit baskets. I’m sorry, Omega person. Find it at H5 on the map.

 

Tilted Towers Hoop Location

A popular refuge for anyone who’s been beaten to the good loot in Tilted, the basketball court is your next port of call. You probably shouldn’t land here at the start of the game, instead visit the court adjacent to blacktop when everyone has been killed off. Find it at D5 on the map.

 

Football Factory Hoop Location

One of the weirdest spots on the map, this little enclave just west of Tilted features a football pitch inside a factory, but the hoop itself is just around the back if you continue heading west. From here, you can either go onto Snobby or Greasy.

 

Greasy Grove Hoop Location

I had to take a second run at the challenge as the storm sadly wasn’t on my side, though I wrapped things up pretty quickly by landing at Greasy Grove. You can find the court almost directly opposite Durr Burger and then get yourself killed to complete the challenge (quitting means your progress is discredited). Find it at C7 on the map.

 

Basketball Tips

– You will need the Battle Pass to complete this challenge with the basketball unlocking as a “toy” early on.
– Set the basketball as a favourite to make shooting a hoop easier.
– Align almost completely straight with the basket for the best flight of the ball and look slightly above the hoop before taking your shot.
– A three-pointer is anywhere outside of the “D”. It’s actually easier to land a bucket by being further away in Fortnite anyway.
