Fortnite Lantern Trials 2022: Sign-Up, Free Rewards & What You Should Know

Fortnite Lantern Trials
Fortnite Lantern Trials

Fortnite‘s Lantern Trials are back after a hugely successful first run in 2021. An event that’s spread across almost a whole week, players are tasked with collecting points to earn free rewards.

Despite the name, there’s not much of a trial with Lantern Trials, as most players can earn the rewards just from playing the game and completing simple objectives. Each day brings a different reward with different objectives and a stretch goal to unlock the main prize, a free Back Bling and Wrap.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Lantern Trials 2022, including where to sign-up, what you can unlock for free, and how you can earn points.

Lantern Trials 2022 Sign-Up

Head on over to lanterntrials.fortnite.com to sign up for the Lantern Trials with your Epic Games account, which you should already have if you’ve ever played Fortnite before.

Reset your password if you can’t remember your details, as the info may not be all that obvious if you’ve only ever played Fortnite on a console. You can play Fortnite Trials on any platform that Fortnite is currently on, you just need to sign up your account via the website first.

However, unlike last time, the Lantern Trials are open to many more countries than ever. Those in Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and the regions of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk cannot take part.

How Do I Earn Lantern Trials Rewards?

Just like in 2021, Lantern Trials rewards are free in 2022 and can be earned simply for playing the game.

To earn rewards, you must collect points. You unlock points for completing different objectives across five different days.

On day 1, players had to eliminate other players, but you only needed one point in total for that day.

On day 2, players had to deal damage to opponents, with 1 point for every 100 damage dealt. The stretch goal asked players to get 100 points, so basically deal 10,000 damage.

On day 3, players could claim one point for every two Top 7s in Duos. The stretch goal is points, meaning that players have to get two Top 7 finishes in Duos twelve times in one day.

On day 4, players had to survive four storm circles for 1 point. The stretch goal asked played to reach ten points, so 40 storm circles.

On day 5, players are asked to get three Top 6 finishes in Squads for 1 point. The stretch goal for the day is 4 points, so twelve Top 6 finishes in Squads in one day in total.

We will update this with rewards for each day as they’re announced.

There is also a stretch goal. This is basically a much more intensive version of that day’s objective that asks you to do it X amount of times. On day 1, the stretch goal is to eliminate 35 players.

Completing the stretch goal on any of the days will net you the Leadlight Wrap, while completing a stretch goal on another day will reward you the Dream Lantern Back Bling. You don’t get anything for completing stretch goals over subsequent days. If you missed the emoticons on their specific days, you can just get a single point on day 5 to get them all at once.

When Do The Lantern Trials 2022 End?

Fortnite’s Lantern Trials kicked off today, April 20th, 2022 and will end next Sunday, April 24th, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET as it’s a five-day event, which is shorter than the last Lantern Trials by a couple of days.

Bear in mind that these items may never return to Fortnite after the event, so if you want free Lantern Trials 2022 rewards, you best get collecting those points.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
