Fortnite’s Impact Grenades Have Been Unvaulted

Slam dunk.

Fortnite scoundrel skins

The Impact Grenades were one of the first meaningful item additions to Fortnite before they were inexplicably vaulted. Now, as part of the v8.11 content update, they’ve finally been added back in.

Simple in nature, the Impact Grenades basically work by pushing any “recipients” away from the area. Not only can they basically force opponents off high structures and kill them via fall damage, but they can also give verticality to the user and allow for some tactical repositioning very effectively.

They’re a tonne of fun, so I’m glad they’re back.

They are slightly changed, however. Impulse strength against vehicles has been increased by 344%, which may be to counteract the Ballers that some players are complaining about.

The Impact’s cousin, the Shockwave Grenade remains vaulted, as too do Bounce Pads. Shockwaves are Impacts on angel dust, sending the user or recipient absolutely flying without any fall damage and also capable of destroying structures. Bounce Pads were universally loved before they were vaulted, so they too may return at some point.

What else would you like to see added back in to the game?
