As a season with plenty of sci-fi leanings with Epic also having a good relationship with Marvel, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we’re getting another Guardians of the Galaxy skin in the form of Gamora for Fortnite Season 7, which can also be yours for free.
Just like the recent Cammy Cup, the Gamora Cup gives players the chance to earn Gamora as a skin without having to spend any of their money, though you may have to spend a bit of time cranking away in Creative before you’re good enough.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Gamora Cup in Fortnite, including how to unlock Gamora for free.
When Does The Gamora Cup Take Place?
The Gamora Cup is a Duos tournament that will take place on August 11th, 2021 at different times per region.
Be sure that you log in on the day itself to check the times in your region. Once you know, make sure you are logged in and ready to take part in the Gamora Cup at least fifteen minutes before it officially begins.
How Do I Unlock the Gamora Skin For Free?
As is the case with all of these competitive “skin cups”, you have to place very high in the overall rankings to get Gamora for free. You have three hours and ten matches to get as high a score as you can by outlasting and eliminating opponents alongside your Duos partner. You won’t be able to take part unless you have a partner.

Players will also earn one point per elimination over the course of the Gamora Cup. All players who earn eight points will also unlock the Daughter of Thanos Spray, which will be exclusive.
Bear in mind it may take up to a week for your tournament rewards to be added to your Fortnite account.
When Does The Gamora Skin Come To The Item Shop?
Gamora will be released into the Item Shop alongside a returning Star-Lord, who may also be getting a new style, from August 14th in the Item Shop.
As with most collabs, Gamora will likely cost 1500 V-Bucks, but you will also be able to get Gamora’s Cloak Back Bling, Godslayer Pickaxe, and the Godslayer Glideboard as part of a more expensive bundle too.
