UPDATE: Now with a video guide, which you can check out above.
While most of us have Deadpool by now from trudging through seven weeks of pretty straightforward challenges, there’s still a reason to complete week 8’s Find Deadpool’s Pool Floaty scavenger hunt challenge.
Why? Well, just in case you wanted to see a face only a mother could love, you can unlock an unmasked version of the Deadpool skin by completing two challenges this week. It’s not exactly a pretty picture, but who could ever say no to a free additional style in Fortnite?
Here’s a reminder of what he looks like without a mask.
If you want to unlock this variant, here’s how you Find Deadpool’s Pool Floaty in Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2.
Find Deadpool’s Pool Floaty Location
The “Floaty” in question refers to an inflatable unicorn with the Deadpool colouring. Those who have been around Fortnite since Season 5 will no doubt know what to keep an eye out for as the unicorns have been a part of Fortnite challenges forever.
As for the Floaty’s location, it’s the same story as with almost every single scavenger hunt Deadpool challenge to date. You can find the Floaty in the HQ in Skye’s room, just on the right of her on the floor.
Once you’ve Found Deadpool’s Floaty and danced at his Yacht Party for the other half of this week’s challenge, you will then unlock the unmasked variant and also unlocked a healthy amount of nightmares.
With two weeks left of the season, we don’t know yet if there will be even more freebies to come via Deadpool challenges, or what those challenges could even be. A new patch is expected next week that will lift the lid.
If you don’t have the Deadpool skin in Fortnite, remember that you must own the Battle Pass and have completed all challenges to date that come with him. Be sure to venture into the vent in the Battle Royale lobby to see what you need to do.
Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
