Is it worth it?

Fortnite Crew

After a previous leak, it looks like Fortnite’s subscription service is now officially a thing that players can subscribe to for digital goodies each month. Going by the name Fortnite Crew, it’s an interesting attempt by Epic to keep players coming back each month.

If you’re curious about the new service or are wondering if you could possibly fit another subscription into your monthly outgoings, here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Crew in terms of price, when it’s out, and where you can get it.

When Does Fortnite Crew Release?

Fortnite Crew will became a part of the experience from the launch of Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 5 on December 2nd, 2020.

How Much Is Fortnite Crew?

Fortnite Crew will cost you £9.99/€11.99/$11.99 each month that you want to remain an active subscriber. There is no option for annual subscriptions at this time. You can start subscribing from the Item Shop.

Where Is Fortnite Crew Available?

Epic haven’t mentioned any specific restrictions in terms of Fortnite Crew’s availability, but it’s pretty obvious that it won’t be coming to iOS due to the ongoing spat between Apple and Epic. As for countries, Epic did mention that they are looking at increasing support as time goes on, so it may be a case of waiting if you are not able to subscribe on day one. It won’t be included with Fortnite China, though.

Is Fortnite Crew Worth It?

Yes and no.

Fortnite Crew will be very worthwhile if you’re someone who plays Fortnite a lot and also loves to collect skins, but most players may be best left to subscribe only when a new season comes around for the Battle Pass.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, so it’s pretty easy to dip in and out of the commitment based on if you like the monthly skin or not. It’s also a huge saving on all its “rewards” when sold individually as the V-Bucks alone are almost worth the price.

So, ultimately, Fortnite Crew is worth it for those who play regularly but nowhere near as much for those who don’t, though the option to cancel your subscription at any time can save you plenty of money at the start of a new Fortnite season.

Elsewhere in Fortnite, don’t forget that the Last Laugh Bundle is now up for grabs.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
