While Fortnite is a game in constant flux with so much changing from week to week (sometimes even day to day), one thing will gladly always stay the same: getting a free Victory Umbrella each new season. With us now in Chapter 5 – Season 1 (goodness me I feel old), we have a brand new Victory Umbrella to look forward to for the next few months of Fortnite. Here’s what the Rebel Brella looks like:
As the season has an underground theme, it makes sense that this is more “guerrilla” looking, with the greens looking a bit like jungle camo. However, it’s definitely one of the least “aesthetic” Umbrellas yet, but maybe we have to see it in motion to really know for sure.
Once we actually have claimed the Victory Umbrella for the coming season, we will update this with the animation.
How to Unlock the Fortnite: Chapter 5 – Season 1 Victory Umbrella
Unlock the Victory Umbrella for Chapter 5 – Season 1 in Fortnite is the same method as always: just win a normal match. Whether it’s in Zero Build or traditional BR, on your own or with friends, all you need to do to claim the new Victory Umbrella is to simply get a Victory Royale.
Players can also win a match in Ranked to win a slightly differently coloured variant of the Victory Umbrella called the High Society Ranker.
Bear in mind that this only applies directly to the core modes of Fortnite, as players cannot get the Victory Umbrella by playing in player-created maps. Outlast other players in Battle Royale or Zero Build and get a dub.
If you’re struggling to get that dub, we’d recommend that you either team up with a couple of friends to carry you over the line, or you simply wait until the first day of the season craziness dies down a little. There’s often just a lot of very serious players on new season launch with other players also looking for the Victory Umbrella, so come back and try again.
