As is tradition with the launch of a new season, Epic Games will be taking Fortnite offline for a while ahead of the launch of Fortnite: Chapter 4 – Season 2. If you’re dying to dab on some kids or AI in the pursuit of your new Victory Umbrella, here’s when you’ll be waiting until.
While not yet fully confirmed, it’s believed that Fortnite will come back online as Season 2 from 12PM BST/7AM ET. This is based on the fact that the game will be going into downtime at 7AM BST/2AM ET, with Epic confirming that downtime will last for five or so hours.
Bear in mind that this is subject to change as always. Quite a few seasons have had broad technical issues at launch, which has pushed the launch time back even further. Don’t forget that you will also need to download a sizeable update before you can play, usually 10+GB, so be sure to set aside some time for that too.
What To Expect From Fortnite: Chapter 4 – Season 2
Players can expect a host of changes to the map, along with a host of new skins, items, weapons and a brand new 100 tier Battle Pass. Epic Games have also already confirmed a collaboration with Attack On Titan, similar to the game’s collaborations with other anime projects like Dragon Ball, Naruto and My Hero Academia.
This season also has a futuristic Tokyo look, with new POIs and remixes of old classics like Salty Springs. Fortnite is also due to finally, finally get its long-awaited first-person mode, which will be one of the biggest changes ever to the Fortnite experience.
If you though Season 1 of Chapter was a bit long, here’s hoping that Season 2 has more to offer you.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
