Week 7 of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 has arrived on schedule, brining with it the ‘Trick Shot’ mission. Pulling us out of the rut from the last two weeks, Epic has graced us with some considerably more interesting challenges again. All in all quite a varied week of challenges with no particular overarching theme to the challenges on display.
This guide will be focusing on the most interesting challenge of the week: ‘Dance at the Pipeman, the Hayman, and the Timber Tent’. This is the fifth challenge in the mission, so you’ll need to complete two other challenges in the Trick Shot mission before you can access this one.
The challenge’s request is fairly simple, dance at the three named landmarks. Where the difficulty sets in is that all three landmarks are relatively small and out of the way. Put differently, landmarks are not marked on the main map, meaning you need to have prior knowledge of their existence.
Below is a map with all three landmarks circled.
Pipeman, Hayman, And Timber Tent Locations
The Pipeman is circled in purple, the Hayman is circled in red and the Timber Tent is circled in blue. All three landmarks are considerably distant from one another in different sections of the map, so it is unlikely you’ll be able to finish this in a single match as it’s a lot of travelling. Fortunately, you don’t need to do it in a single match, so just landing at each landmark at the beginning of a match and hitting your dance button should knock it out in three matches without much delays.
Pipeman
The Pipeman (circled in purple) is located directly south past Misty Meadows. If you follow the river south down towards the snow capped mountain, you’ll find the Pipeman halfway down from the summit on the southside of the mountain. At first you might ask yourself how does this look anything like a man, but it’s a man lying down resting on his elbows. You’ll find it at F8 on the main map’s grid.
Hayman
The Hayman (circled in red) is found southwest of Frenzy Farms. On the southwestern edge of the farm’s fields, near the road, you’ll find the Hayman sitting out in the open. From a distance (i.e. high up in the air) it can be quite difficult to distinguish the Hayman from any other visual clutter, so make sure you get close to the location and have a look before committing to a landing. Unlike the Pipeman, this looks much more like a man at first glance, especially from the ground. Head to E4 on the main map’s grid.
Timber Tent
The ‘Timber Tent’ is located directly north of Holly Hedges and south of Sweaty Sands. There is a small lake between these two named locations and the Timber Tent sits to the south of this lake. It should be noted that while it’s called the Timber Tent, to a lot of people it looks like an oversized bonfire (it did to me), so keep that in mind. You’ll find it at B4 on the main map’s grid.
Video Guide
There is no particular best order to do this challenge as we mentioned before, as all the landmarks are fairly distant and not easily connected to by boat. Just remember to actually dance at each landmark before wandering away or you’ll have to revisit it.
