Ex Quantic Dream Lead Designer’s New Studio Interior Night Partners With Sega

Last year we were hit with news of Caroline Marchal, a lead designer at Quantic Dream, leaving the studio. In October of last year, she opened her own studio, called Interior Night, which is based in London and will focus on “narrative games aimed at a mature TV audience.”

The team is filled with game industry veterans, including other developers from Quantic Dream, ex-Sony developers, and ex-Slightly Mad Studios developers.

Sega is being fairly tight-lipped about what the game will actually be, other than it being a new IP, but the fact that they’re doing it with Interior Night, led by Caroline Marchal who was the lead game designer on narrative-driven games Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, hints to what direction they’re most likely going to go.

It’s not the only partnership Sega has going right now, as Sega is also working with Two Point Studio on Two Point Hospital, a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital. Two Point Studio is filled with ex-Bullfrog and Lionhead Studios developers.

While waiting to see what kind of game this new partnership will create, check out this rumour about Microsoft acquiring several other AAA game companies. If you want fewer rumours and more facts, check out the 8 Biggest New Games of February 2018.
