Finding the Mt. Gelmir map fragment in Elden Ring can be a challenge with the different ladders and paths in the location. There’s nothing worse than exploring Elden Ring while dealing with fog of war, so here’s how to find that pesky scrap of paper.
Starting at the Bridge of Iniquity Site of Grace, you’ll want to travel toward the barricades where a few enemies are probably fighting one another. Keep your eye on the cliff wall to your left as there will eventually be a ladder with two torches.
Climb the ladder and at the top take a moment to head left and touch the Site of Grace waiting there. Now, turn back around and proceed west farther up the mountain toward a large tower.
When you’re in front of the enemy tower, bank to the right and pass a sleeping Pumpkin Head. You should come across a giant rock that you can use as a bridge to reach the other side.
As soon as you have crossed the rock bridge, there should be another ladder against the next cliff face directly in front of you. Climb this ladder and then at the top, you’ll see the next ladder to climb.
After climbing these two ladders, you should be in a little hollow where a merchant has set up camp. Climb the final ladder and find yourself in a forgotten war zone. Head straight from the ladder for a bit and you should begin to see a bridge to your left.
Follow the bridge and touch the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Site of Grace. Now ride Torrent and use the spirit spring to get to the peak of the mountain. Up top, you’ll run into a powerful Fallingstar Beast. Since this boss is right next to a Site of Grace, we’d recommend getting the map first and then coming back to claim victory.
To get off the mountain peak, you can use another makeshift bridge made of rocks on the peak’s west side.
Ride straight down and look out ahead where a golden tree and a Golden Seed are located. Jump down toward the tree and pick up the Golden Seed. From the tree head down the mountain toward the south.
Little Spider Hands will jump out of the ground but just keep riding down the mountain until it begins to turn left.
You should be able to see the monument where the map fragment is located but watch out because a big Spider Hand will crawl up the cliff right next to it.
You can ride by and grab it quickly or simply touch the Site of Grace that’s a little ways past the monument, fight the Spider Hand or avoid it, and claim the Mt. Gelmir map fragment.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X & S, and Xbox One.
