Remember Elden Ring, the FromSoftware game that was announced during E3 2019 that seemingly dropped off the face of the earth? Seems like it might actually be real after all, as Xbox head Phil Spencer is claiming to have even played it.
Wait, It Still Lives?
According to Phil Spencer, it is anyway. In a recent interview with Gamespot, Phil Spencer told Tamoor Hussain that he’s played a lot of the game, and he’s got a lot of good things to say about it: “As somebody who’s played all of Miyazaki’s games over at least the last decade, this is clearly the most ambitious game that he’s done. I mean, I love his games, but seeing some of the gameplay mechanics stuff that he’s tackling, he and the team are tackling this time, of the setting, working with another creator in terms of story. I love it.”
When Can Expect To See More On Elden Ring?
No idea, as FromSoftware have been fairly tight-lipped about the game. We’re not even sure what platforms the game will appear on, but considering that Phil Spencer has a working relationship with FromSoftware, we can expect to see the game on the Xbox Series X when it does launch.
