EA Access Launching On PS4 This July

Almost five years after its debut.

Electronic Arts’ acclaimed subscription service EA Access will finally be launching on PS4 in July, giving PS4 players a buttload of EA games for an affordable annual fee.

EA Access was first announced back in 2014, but for the past 5 years, it’s been an exclusive to the Xbox One and PC (known as Origin Access). At the time, Sony turned their noses up at the idea of another subscription service on their platform, stating that: “We don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.”

Clearly, things have changed over on Sony’s end, as not only have they relaxed their policies on subscription services, but also cross-platform play. When EA Access launches in July on PS4, the service will cost $4.99 a month, or $29.99 per year. For UK subscribers, that works out to £4 a month, and £20 per year.

For that price, you gain unlimited access to around 60+ titles that are available as part of the EA Access Vault, including the likes of Battlefront 2, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, Burnout Paradise: Remastered, Need for Speed: Payback, Titanfall and so many more. Subscribers will also be able to sample upcoming EA titles days before they launch as part of a limited trial, along with receiving discounts on the digital purchases of any EA game. Will you become an EA Access subscriber when it launches on PS4 this July? Let us know in the comments.
