E3 2018: Tales Of Vesperia Coming To The West With New ‘Definitive Edition’

Tales of Vesperia

The Tales games are a popular and iconic series of JRPGs. Much like Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem, each game tells a new tale, introducing players to exciting worlds, new characters and epic encounters with each addition to the franchise.

One entry in the franchise, Tales of Vesperia, released in 2008 worldwide, and received critical praise. An updated version was released in Japan in 2009, with full voice acting, updated graphics, new characters and more. This version never saw a release in the West, but that all changed during today’s Microsoft E3 press briefing.

Microsoft announced Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition at their conference. Like the title suggests, this is the definitive way to play Tales of Vesperia. For the first time ever, Western players will get the full Tales of Vesperia experience. The Definitive Edition comes with new characters, a fully developed combat system, full voice acting, and tons of other exciting features that breathe fresh air into the classic title.

It’s unknown just what else we’ll be getting with Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, or if the game will be an Xbox console exclusive, like the original version before it, but we’ll likely get more information on the game as we get closer to its Winter 2018 release.

Stay tuned for more information on Tales of Vesperia and other exciting new games during our E3 2018 coverage.
