If the idea of fishing has always appealed to you, but you just can’t stand the idea of spending your time outdoors in that awful sunlight, Fishing Sim World should appeal to you. Developed by Dovetail Studios, who have been responsible for Train Sim World and Flight Sim World on PC, along with Euro Fishing a few years back, Fishing Sim World aims to bring the most realistic fishing experience ever.
Coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 18th, Fishing Sim World will combine realistic physics and fish AI to bring a compelling and true to life experience that you can enjoy with 3 other friends in multiplayer. You can also enter live tournaments with players around the world in an attempt to prove who is the most astounding angler.
Fishing Sim World will also include 18 species of fish, seven real world locations from across North America and Europe and real-world licensed fishing products from names such as Duckett and Korda.
Mark Greenway, director of Fishing Sim World at Dovetail Games, said: “We are delighted to be announcing Fishing Sim World, and or passion for simulation and realism has ensured this is the most authentic fishing game on the market. We cannot wait for fishing fans to take on the challenges of Bass and Predator Fishing, as well as catching huge Carp!”
If you’re interested in learning more about the game, check out the announcement trailer below, which admittedly isn’t as good as the Fishing Planet trailer, but nothing is. If you’re wondering how we’ve gone from covering Soulcalibur VI to Fishing Sim World, it’s because my dad is a regular fisherman. At least I’m guaranteed someone will read this.
