DICE Tease In the Name of the Tsar Battlefield 1 DLC

Battlefield 1 Tsar

They may have been slow to roll out post-launch content, but now it seems like DICE are really picking up the pace with their Battlefield 1 DLC. Following the recently announced Nivelle Nights, they’re now giving gamers a sneak peek at In the Name of the Tsar.

The second expansion pack for Battlefield 1, In the Name of the Tsar will be Russian-centric and come with new maps and all the usual add-ons for expansions, but that’s about all there is to know.

But players will be able to find out a whole lot more about the DLC when EA Play arrives on June 10. EA Play is EA’s new E3 event, where games like DICE’s other “Battle” game, Battlefront II, will also be shown off.

Here’s a quick piece of concept art:

In The Name of the Tsar will be released in Summer 2017, which isn’t all that far away. Nivelle Nights is an extra piece of content for Premium owners, and that will be out on the test servers before too long.

Battlefield 1 was one of the best games of 2016, getting a mighty fine score from myself in my review, which is obviously all the praise any game needs:

“Not just one of the best FPS games of the year, but one of the best overall. DICE have taken a step backwards with Battlefield 1 but taken many forward at the same time. For once, a game where you can believe the hype.”

Battlefield 1 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
